One of my favorite things to cook in my air fryer is tofu. Normally, to make tofu taste good, you need to deep fry it so it’s crispy on the outside and soft and spongey on the inside. This makes a food that should be healthy, decidedly unhealthy by loading it with fat.
By air frying tofu you can keep the tofu low fat but still get all the delicious crispiness you would from deep frying or pan frying tofu.
I air fry my tofu without any oil at all!
Once the tofu is cooked you can use it in any recipe that calls from deep fried or pan fried tofu. My favorite recipe to use is this General Tso’s Tofu.
Alternatively, you can cut the block of tofu in half down the middle and fry up a delicious tofu patty for vegan burgers. Yum!
